The investment ledger
Nine municipal road projects run under a single federally funded COR3 contract (2026-000059, 32 jobs reported contract-wide); the airport runway is a separate PR Ports Authority contract (2021-000061, 74 jobs). Every project appears as a 🚧 pin on the live map.

🏖️ Beach-access roads are being rebuilt
Tamarindo Road ($916K) and Carretera de Punta Soldado ($154K) are the access routes to two of the island's most-visited shores. Better access roads mean better rental capacity and easier guest logistics for properties in those corridors.
🌊 Flood mitigation in La Perla
Nearly $940K is going into Sector La Perla — a new box culvert plus road-and-bridge reconstruction. Drainage infrastructure directly affects flood exposure, insurability, and long-term value for nearby parcels.
✈️ The airport is getting a $6.25M runway
The largest project on the island rebuilds runway 13-31 and its taxiway. Air capacity is the island's second artery after the ferry — a rehabilitated runway is a decade-scale commitment to visitor throughput.

$10.29M active across a 2020 Census population of 1,792 is roughly $5,740 of active public investment per resident — a concentration most mainland municipalities never see.

- Coordinates: pins marked "approximate" are placed along the project corridor where the sign's GPS fix was poor or absent; they are refined as we ride the roads.

Municipio de Culebra contract 2026-000059 — contractor Harry Auto Kool Inc., executed May 19, 2026, term through Aug 30, 2026, registered amount $4,035,632.66. Autoridad de los Puertos contract 2021-000061 — contractor Desarrolladora J.A., Inc., executed Nov 10, 2020 at the posted $6,249,910; registry amendments G (+$936,216.78, Aug 2025) and H (+$8,041,310.92, Jan 2026) raise the cumulative registered value to $15,227,437.70, and amendment I (May 2026) extends the term through June 30, 2027. The headline totals on this page reflect the amounts posted on the project signs.
