Culebra E-Bike Rental: The Whole Island on One Charge

Fat-tire e-bikes from $30 for 6 hours — helmet, lock and phone mount included. A $10 deposit reserves yours online; pay the balance at pickup, a flat 12-minute walk from the ferry.

Culebra is bigger than the ferry dock makes it look — and its hills are real. A fat-tire e-bike flattens them: Flamenco is a hilly 2.5 miles from town, Zoni about 4, and there isn't a traffic light on the island. Reserve online with a $10 deposit, walk a flat 12 minutes from the dock, and ride the whole island on one charge.

What's Included

Every rental is a Class 2 fat-tire e-bike with a helmet, a lock and a phone mount. Add a snorkel set — mask, snorkel and fins — for $10 and you're set for the reefs.

How the $10 Deposit Works

A $10 deposit reserves your bike online — no full prepay. The balance is due at pickup, by cash or card. In high season the fleet sells out, so the deposit is what guarantees a bike is waiting when your ferry lands.

E-Bike vs Golf Cart

Why locals ride e-bikes

E-bikes park free at Flamenco (vehicles pay the $5 fee), handle the dirt roads and sandy approaches a cart can't, never wait for parking in Dewey, and cost less. The electric assist means the hills aren't a workout.

When a golf cart wins

Golf carts seat more people and carry more gear — coolers, beach hauls, bigger groups. If that's your day, a cart makes sense; for one or two people exploring, the e-bike is faster and cheaper.

How does the $10 deposit work?

A $10 deposit holds your e-bike when you book online; the remaining balance is paid at pickup, by cash or card. The deposit reserves a specific bike — which matters in high season, when the fleet sells out.

Where do I pick up the e-bike?

At our shop in Dewey, next to Carlos Jeep Rental — a flat 12-minute walk from the Culebra ferry dock. Book before you board the ferry and you can be riding minutes after you land.

What's included with the rental?

Every fat-tire e-bike comes with a helmet, a lock and a phone mount. You can add a snorkel set — mask, snorkel and fins — for $10.

Do you have multi-day rates?

Yes. It's $45/day for 3–4 days and $40/day for 5 or more days, so longer trips get cheaper per day.

Is the SUMMER15 discount automatic?

Yes. Through July 31, 2026, SUMMER15 takes 15% off the e-bike rental price automatically at checkout — there's no code to enter.

Should I rent an e-bike or a golf cart?

E-bikes park free at Flamenco (vehicles pay the $5 fee), handle the island's dirt roads and sandy approaches, skip the parking hassle in Dewey and cost less. Golf carts seat more people and carry more gear, so it comes down to your group size and what you're hauling.

Can I ride an e-bike to Flamenco or Zoni?

Yes — the electric assist flattens the hills. Flamenco is a hilly 2.5 miles from town and Zoni about 4, and the whole island is rideable on one charge.
